    • Possible Spam
    • Spam
You can take multiple actions on an email message based on its category. These action include:

    • No action - default for good emails
    • Change subject - default for possible spam
    • Quarantine - default for spam
    • Change subject and forward
    • Quarantine and forward

In addition to these actions, quarantine messages can also be configured for challenge/response.

    Intrusion Detection

Find out who and why is someone connecting to your email server without sending any emails. Spammers are always looking for email servers out on the Internet that can be exploited to send spam. They look for:
    • Open relay
    • Weak user id/password that can be guessed
    • Server specific bugs/features that can be exploited
Since it is relatively easier to trace the origin of an email, these people never send an email but connect to your server to explore its vulnerabilities. The intrusion detection system provides you a log of every client that connects to your server but does not send any email. By monitoring these logs you can stop a malicious user from using your server for unwanted activities.

For more information please read a White Paper on our web site related to this feature.

This feature is turned off by default. However, you have a choice of turning it on for Spam Messages. This way you will never delete a good message.

You can block or allow emails based on domain, ips, or keywords found anywhere in the email easily. ITA Secure Messaging comes with an Auto Archive feature that compresses these emails on a daily bases into the "archive" directory. A system administrator can change the number of days after which a message gets archived.
